Crimson crystal bodice of Camellias Before Sunset

Flower Collection — Dress Story

Camellias Before Sunset

Richness of crimson camelia blossoms illuminated by warm sunset light. Rather than portraying a single flower, the gown captures the feeling of petals unfolding in motion during golden hour.

The story
Crimson fabric palette

Every material was selected to recreate the depth and warmth found in scarlet petals blooming under sunset rays.

The bodice was fully hand-embellished using a carefully blended composition of 12 shades of crystals, creating a multidimensional surface that shifts beautifully under ballroom lighting.

The skirt was layered to enhance both movement and luminosity. Lightweight georgette forms the flowing lower layers, while a hidden satin layer introduces a subtle inner glow that becomes visible as the skirt moves.

Particular attention was given to the sleeves. Finding a mesh that perfectly complemented the warm palette of the gown required extensive material research before selecting an exceptionally fine Italian illusion net, chosen for its delicate texture and nearly invisible appearance.

To balance the brilliance of the crystal-covered bodice, the skirt was finished with hundreds of individually applied red petals, introducing organic texture and movement.

These layered petals create the impression of blossoms carried by the wind, bringing softness and dimension to every step.
